Gypsy Jazz Guitar Exercise/Practice

Post by Thrip »

Here is a warm up exercise I use to practice scales/arpeggios/gypsy picking. I find it very useful.

There is a youtube video of the exercise here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l65eVHUxmDE&fmt=18

You can download a pdf of the exercise which has fingering and picking suggestions on the "Lessons" page of my website here:

http://www.timrobinsonguitar.com/

I hope you find it useful too.

I like this a lot.

Thanks. Hope you don't mind if i give this to some of my pupils. It's the perfect way to hammer home the harmonized scale & the chords that lye in it.

They may be drinkers, Robin, but they're still human beings.

I've taken your exercise & applied it to the other 4 caged shapes. Just thought it would be good to share it with you guys.
