If you need an instrument with a real gypsy sound and a good price you can talk with David Hodson, here his email adress: david_j_hodson@lineone.net
and his website: http://www.hodsonjazzguitars.com/
Tell him that you have received his mail from Emiliano.
I have 503SR model and I'm really satisfied, it's a very good instrument with a real gypsy sound, the price was around 2000 euros (maybe 1800 I can't remember) including bigtone installed, hard case and shipping.
If you don't have enough money you can try a Gitane, avoid other extremely low-price instruments. The Gitane are good about constructions, rifinitures, playability and price (probably the best choice), but I personally don't like the sound.
Take a look also at some Patenotte guitars, the sound is good, the price low but the quality is not good, you have to setup the instrument for sure.
You can also take a look here and talk with Soren or Severino, they're my friends: http://palmguitars.com/
Make your choice and good luck

Post by Leonardo »

So,my last question for this week?
do you find Guitarists in Italy to play Gipsy Music?
Here in Switzerland looks like impossible, i wrote in many Forums,
asking for Musicians without succses :-(
So it looks i have saying in Italian Language "Continuare a rompere le Balle a La Familia" :-)
