seeing videos

Post by chrissss »

hi
just starting out in this style although a half decent 20 year or so player of classical styles and ragtime, the techniques and fingerings of scales are alot differant and it seems like many styles, technique is crucial as ive discovered tonight just holding the plectrum tighter with a more of closed fist sort of style has increased my speed instantly, .... but anyway my main reason for this post is can anybody view the videos on this site

http://www.serendipity-band.com/misc/ma ... tee-en.htm

as all i get is sound and ive tried every media player going

cheers

it just opens in realplayer, and I can see and hear it fine. IF you are new and are looking for a pirmer on technique you must definately pick up Michael Horowitz's Gypsy Picking book.

Those are .avi videos. If you download the DivX-codec it should work with the Windows Media Player.

The DivX-codec must work with Macs. But I´m not sure.
My cousin had a Mac and sent me one time an .avi clip, so I think they wor on Macs.
