I must be getting old - I completely missed the (w)hole bit and I thought when you said "when it's there it's the hard type..." I took that to mean the actual No 2's - possibly due to the diet.....

I think the answer is to wear nappies/diapers....... saves time and no risk of being shaken in the Turdis...

Going to samois for the 1st time

Post by samois »

Hello! I am lucky enough to have lived in Samois for the past 6 years and it occurred to me I could be a useful contact for festival-goers. I'm also wondering whether to do bed and breakfast (Paying guest) for the festival weekend. I live right in the middle of the top bit of Samois and have off-road parking.

Absolutely, you're sitting on a gold mine......getting accomodation has always been difficult, especially if you're not camping - the nearest hotels are in Avon, Fontainebleau and Melun not far but far enough.

I'd imagine you'll be inundated with requests.

Alan

PS Have you posted on our AMerican cousins forum Djangobooks ?

I would think that £20 per night for camping in the garden, £50 for a single room and £70 for double + £5p.p for breakfast would sound reasonable. We are 2 mins from the centre of Samois in a lovely old house with huge garden and off-road parking. There are 2 huge bedrooms and 2 smaller + 2 bath/shower rooms. Please send email details if interested and I'll go for for 1st come, 1st served!

Yup, they are open but may be full by now. Do you want me to investigate as it is only down the road for me...what days were you wanting?
(I'm having 2 lots of campers in my large garden, if you are interested)

Samoreau campsite

Post by newbie »

Hello there
I am coming all the way from Melbourne and haven't booked anything!
Anyone have an idea how to book at Samoreau campsite by email?
Appreciate your ideas...

And by the way, samois, if you still have places, please email me at mizstepheff@yahoo.com.au

I'll email you more details and here's a general message:
I suspect that the Camping at the Barbeau (10 mins walk from the festival) is already full and the Camping at Samoreau is seriously not close (about 10 mins drive/40 mins walk).

As we live in the top part of Samois, we are very close to the festival and are opening up our house and large garden for camping/bed & breakfast this year. We have spaces for up to another half-a-dozen tents. £30 a night + £5pppn breakfast. Anytime over the next three weeks.

This is just for members of the Hotclub Forum - so you can all meet each other!

Thank you but I always stay at the Samoreau campsite, that's where most of my friends go. I have a camping spot reserved for me and yes the camping it's already full.
I was just trying to give the heads up to people wanting to go to Barbeau but thinking it was closed.

Otherwise I'd love to stay at you B&B. Sounds like a great deal. Maybe next year...
