Swing verboten

I don't read or speak german but this article seems to point that swing was really popular in german before the war...until the nazis had forbidden it :( :?:
Perhaps someone could make a resumed translation
thanks in advance

I also agree with Jack and Phil. I also prefer to think in terms of intervals inside the chords than the notes. As English is not my native language, perhaps I did not express mysel well; I am not promoting thr idea, I just wanted to share this "little secret " in the rookies section in ca...

It sounds like your A example and your A# example are done like this? Yes, it is correct. Whoa...maybe I'm just stupid, but: This is supposed to help people learn? Well, This is what the advertising says ( on top of many pages about guitar) and it costs $30 for this "secret"software fret2...

Reading some reviews about guitar software, I found one about a program that allows you to memorize the fretboard in less than 60 minutes. The software costs $30 and everybody agreed that it was too much for this simple information. Here goes; ?This amazing secret is simply that from the low E to th...

I think this is the main challenge to play jazz, been able to quickly convert the sounds in ur head to the sounds on the guitar. My current techinque is to use the "Transcribe!" software to play a song at half speed and go through riff by riff and work out what it is they are playing. Art...

It doesn't matter though, an old friend Steve Gibbons from Chicago said to me one drunken night in Samois that "music is not lifting weights". It's not a competition of who's balls are bigger, who can play the fastest run or being able to knock of a rendition La Gitane without breaking a ...

...Well...My pick is back in shape again. I used a common file (those for metal with a triangular section) and I reshape my wegen . Less than 2 minutes; just follow the contours and give it a sharper end. Very easy :) In this way I thin one can prolong 3X a normal pick's lifetime :D Too bad for thos...

On a related note: does anyone know what's happening with gadjodrom? It seems like they've changed over to http://www.manoucheries.com/ but it seems like not everything made the journey. I'm sure it's just a matter of time, but I don't speak French (a shame, I know), and I worry. Yes, they migrate ...

Hi, I have one.At that price is perhaps the best you can get. I bought it one year ago and I am very satisfied with the guitar. although I had to change the tailpiece ( the looks is not terrific) and I built a new bridge ( the original is too low and it buzzes a little) , it plays well (with a thick...

Off Topic-GENESIS tour

For the lucky ones like me :D that have seen them in 1974/75, there is a chance to remind (recall) their concerts; there is this Canadian group that recreates their (never recorded live or videotaped )shows to the very small detail:
