I don't really understand what you mean - a classical/flamenco guitar has a flat fingerboard and electric guitars generally have a radiused (slightly curved) fingerboard so the frets follow the shape of the wood they're glued to. Or do you mean that the metal itself has a bumpy/uneven top surface? I...

I use putty on the bottom and then packing tape over the tabs on either ends to secure the pickup. I have a really nice guitar, and the packing tape has never damaged the finish. Also, doing this helps to deaden some of the acoustic properties of the guitar, making it more resistant to feedback and ...
