Please tell me what you mean with "relentless, unnecessary II V' s". I haven't a clue, and it sounds like something I should definitly know about, it's about time I learnt more theory anyway. I'm ashamed to say I don't even fully understand the chord diagram posted here, what do the boxes ...

Thanks a lot mate for the chords, it's one of my favorite songs from Django. I was surprised that they didn't have it over at djangosolos.com, it doesn't seem to be very popular, at least not as popular as other songs. I love the strum that the rhythm players play, although I'm not good enough yet t...

It's driving me crazy!

Anybody have the chords to ""You're driving me crazy" ? I'm thinking about Djangos version from 1937, and not the Temperence Seven version from the sixties

Cheers

The Argies have certainly made a big difference, in comparison to the Thomastiks the first thing I noticed was how little tension the Argies have: I had to raise the bridge quite a bit to make them playeable with the Godin. While the sound isn't as open as I'm hoping the Grand Bouch cigano will be, ...

You've given me an idea: How would the Godin sound with Argentines on it, instead of the flat wound Thomastiks that it has now? I have 2 sets of Argies in the workshop that I bought last week in anticipation of the Cigano coming on Friday, it wouldn't hurt to try them out on the Godin :-) Will let y...

Thanks very much for the chords, a shame that my Gitano GJ15 didn't come today, like it was supposed to. Bloody german UPS, they couldn't organize a p*ssup in a brewery. I waited all day at home 'cos they sent me an email saying that they'd be delivering it today, hopefully it'll be here on Monday. ...

Thanks a lot for the quick reply, now I can sleep again nights. :-) I think I'll try to work out the chords and see if I can play it, it's a lovely melody.

Hi all In this John Jorgenson Vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB2RO7T50ug on youtube he plays a tune to illustrate the "getty chord" as he calls it, coupled with a funny story concerning the Beatles. It's about 5 mins into the video and I'd be greatful if anybody could tell me what it'...

Hi all Well I've been and gone and done it..I just ordered a SAGA Cigano GJ 15, should be here Wed/Thursday :-) I don't think I've been so exited about a new guitar in the last 30 years, just kicking myself that I didn't take the plunge a long time ago, back when my fingers were a bit faster.. Thank...

Why would you buy the oval hole version instead of the D-Hole? Just interested in your reasons for saying this, bear in mind that I want to learn rhythm, and not play lead, I don't need a neck that joins the body at the 14th fret. Other differences? Keep the good advice coming :-)

A few words about me: I'm an engishman living in Germany (my wife is German) ,56 years old, and repair guitars and other stringed instruments for a living. After playing guitar for 40 years (mostly rock and roll, blues etc), I have ...
