Are you serious?

Dregni's bibliography alone runs to 13 pages. The footnotes there are also a reliable indicator of the source. Just don't expect the same level of attribution from websources.

Good God, man - you might actually have to read something!

Dennis - out of curiosity as I'm about to experiment with the setup of my Manouche Modele Orchestre - what bridge have you got (21,23,25mm or some other height)?

Au contraire, old chap.

Right idea - but for me, the wrong postcode. Unless, of course, that too is something we could resolve.

Penny for'em (by PM if preferred)?

Seeking Django jazzers in Poznan, Poland

Hi, I'm looking for intrumentalists of all persuasions to start a Django-jazz band here in Poznan, Poland. Would also be interested in fusing the music with club and DJ sounds for a broader appeal (while keeping the acoustic sound at the core), so samplers and scratchers with open minds and fresh id...

Are you sure that's what you're after? The reason I ask is that most selmer macs come in two standard (and very similar) scale lengths - longer scale tends to equal better tone and, in a purely acoustic setting, tone is king. There are 3/4 length student/child models, but they're tuned much higher t...

If it's anything like the meadow outside my front window, run a couple of cars over it and it'll look like the Ypres front in no time - they're probably trying to prevent a quagmire. BTW @astrakat where in Devon are you? Am down relatively often to see family but haven't checked out the GJ scene til...

I know of several guitar teachers who teach this way, the medium suits an ordered dialogue - but when you need live, real-time, unbroken feeds (ie for jams, festivals), one word: latency. You don't always notice it but there's an appreciable lag between you sending and other side receiving - when yo...

Who originally recorded...

Hi All Two tracks - Swing Gitan and Cesar Swing - are often attributed to Django on eg YouTube clips of newer bands covering them. Can't find them anywhere on Integrale, though - another internet meme I guess. Did Django really record these and if so under what name? If not him, then who? Cheers, sw...
