Thanks to Serge Daniloff for translating the French from the local paper:

"This year we've had the chance to discover new talents, and rediscover stars that had previously been unavailable due to prior commitments.
14 groups are programmed, and the guitar remains the main instrument of the festival with the recognizeable names of ROMANE, STOCHELO ROSENBERG, RAPHAEL FAYS and for the first time in a French Festival, HAENS' CHE WEISS, a fabulous guitarist from Germany.

There will also be new discoveries such as the Italian ALESSIO MENCONI, the Manouche group BASILY, SAMI DAUSSAT and his "MINOR SWING", MARIE-ANGE MARTIN, a jazz guitarist representing the ladies, and the CORDES SAUVAGES (Savage Chords) with their Central European influences.

This European gathering is also characteristic of our Festival with the participation of Belgian, German, Italian, Dutch performers, all the way to MARTA MUS from Poland, without forgetting the French element of course.

As in previous years, Swing Jazz will be present from the Canadian SUSAN ARIOLI's group, with young guitarist JESSE BARKSDALE, to modern Jazz with the excellent quintet of belgian pianist MICHEL HERR, to the "New Orleans" style with the the best of Louis Armstrong's disciples IRAKLI, to singer KLAUS BLASQUIZ and to the Cuban Jazz trumpeter EL INDIO.

We invite you to the banks of the Seine River, and the Berceau Island to taste the charms of our celebration of music. To meet the performers who are never too far from the audience and are always very accessible to the public. Experience also the "Jam Sessions" at night fall in the Manouche encampments, or on the Samois village square.

The main problem most people have who stay in hotels is transport. Though you will be able to cadge a lift on a few occasions I'm sure. It's even worse if you stay in Avon which is about 4 miles away. I would seriously consider camping at Samois or Samarau or hiring a car for the duration so you can escape the endless musical jams.

I will attempt to keep you updated with any further developments
