Can anyone point me in the direction of a transcription of this utterly fantastic waltz? As recorded by Fapy from his 'Hungaria' album. Brilliant stuff. thanks mucho.

Better late than never.

I've just noticed there's now a Tabledit version here:

Hey !
Thanks Jack
..but is there a kind soul/computer genius who could convert it to standard notation for me?
Never thought i'd be penalised for being able to read 'the dots' :-)

Stu,

I'm at work right now and can't see the file, but I seem to remember mine had both dots and tab. Try clicking on 'Score' or 'Tools', something like that, then hit Options-it should let you display just dots, or just tab, etc.

Good luck,
Jack.

Jack!!! Awesome. Thanks for hookup. Notes Noires is one of my favorite Gypsy Jazz tunes, period. I only have the 'Hungaria' album, so I can't comment on his other ones, but if this song is any indication of Fapy's compostional skills....well, words fail me. An incredible composition. Beautiful. When it hits the chorus...Wow. He always gets tagged as the 'Django purist', for obvious reasons---but no one mentions his songwriting abilities. He's in my hall of fame for this song alone. Ok, enough blathering. Time to attempt this waltz at 1/4 speed. :?
thanks again.
