If any of you see Mayo Hubert, kindly tell the thief that he owes me a replacement guitar for the 2003 Dell'Arte he stole from me in Paris after the Les Nuits Manouches concerts at L'Europeen. I will also accept 2,000 in Euro as a cash equivalent.
I am not making this up. Alain Cola can confirm that I am indeed the owner of the guitar. My serial number will match the one on record with Dell'Arte.
Late last year, I tried to track him down in France, but he evaded me long enough so that I had to return to my job in the US without my precious axe. Before he had taken off, he promised to pay me the cost of the guitar. Guess what? He never did. So much for being a man of honor like he claimed to be.
This is the same guitar I lent to Samson Schmitt when he broke his strings at the Yoshi's concerts in 2004 and 2005. It has a crack in the top from when I fell off a stage at Amnesia SF. It was expertly repaired by John at Dell'Arte and returned to me in early 2005.
In September 2005, I took my 2003 Anouman to Paris expecting to gig and jam with it for the whole trip, but that idea was cut short when Christophe "Mayo" Hubert stole it from me after a show at L'Europeen. I was only able to use the Dell'Arte to play one show with my friends band at Caveau de la Huchette.
I ended up buying a Dupont MD-50B to play for the remainder of my trip, but that shouldn't have been necessary. It might surprise some of you to hear this, but I liked playing my Dell'Arte more than the Dupont I currently have in my possession. It was my favorite guitar in the world, and I know that most of you can understand how much I loved it.
Please help me recover my guitar, or at least point me in the direction of Mayo Hubert so that I can extract from him the cost of replacing my guitar. Thanks for your time in reading this.
