although at first glance the Robin Nolan charts look "simplified", i would try not to think that way. i mean, there is hardly much else you can add except for a chord substitution here and there OR mabye an extra well placed 9th or 7th note chord embellishment. mabye you want fuller jazzier chords like the ones that are used in Colin Cosiminis arrangements, but i think what any jazz player really wants is just the "basic chart", like what is in a fake book, but mabye simpler. what use is a bunch of complex chords when you could have experimented and figured those out yourself?

after all, most of the difficulty is probably in the right hand and not in the left hand at all and that is what any gypsy jazz player should truly concerned with...

im just mumbling... don't mind me.

| D7 | D7 | D7 | D7 | Gm | Gm D7 | Bbm | Eb9 |

Thank folks for the replys,

I enjoy reading through the replys,
I have seen the forst 2 nolan books and the lick book , they are great , I dont want extremly easy charts or every note notated, but I am very interested in the RNT gig book and was hoping it may have the same appearence i.e melody and chords to their other books and a few more charts .
Which charts does it have any one know ?
love to see it or even send me a scan of the track listing ?
cheers TomBO

If you read this, you can figure out the whole list by checking it against the song lists on the Nolan site.
