improvising

Postby andy_05 » Tue Apr 10, 2007 6:42 pm

I've been working alot on 'set pieces', licks, patterns, and django solo's and although they sound good, it doenst half get boring. I learnt all this with the intention of it to be back up material when im having an off day.
What other ways would you approach imporivising? I use the caged patterns of the major scale, and am/em minor scale positions, but yet again this seems restrictive. what other apporaches would anyone recommend?
