Chromatic scales.

Does anyone here take a more classical approach to the left-hand fingering of these scales?

I'm thinking particularly about those in first postion, not the one-string glissando type runs that cover twenty frets.

I tend to do..

e 1 2 3 3 1 2 3 3 1 2 3 3
B 1 2 3 3
G 1 2 3 3
D 1 2 3 3
A 1 2 3 3
E

For the fingering of an open A note to the 12th fret E. (Its the fingering looking down on the neck of the guitar..) Not sure if its the best way though.
