I don't have one for sale, but must say that I'm thrilled with mine. It's a brillant guitar and a great value. Have you considered buying one through djangobooks.com in the US? Excellent service and prices.

This is the guitar I have, and, like Heretic, I'm thrilled with it. One day I'll be looking to move up the value chain a little, but right now with the recession and the austerity measures etc etc it might be a while. There are a few new ones about on the web, as far as I can tell.

I just need to learn to play the darn thing...

Kind regards,
Derek

Well spotted Redblues. A little more expensive than price quoted by Thomann and their price includes delivery to UK.
I'm really looking for a guitar that is "run in" so to speak. Thanks.

If it helps, you could put this on the french forum - Good luck, my mate's got one and they're really nice, a bit bit bassier than the DG255, I definitely prefered it but he wasn't keen to swap.

= Hi, I'm looking for a second hand Gitane DG 250M. Is there anyone here who's selling one or knows where I could find one, or who has a friend who's currently trying to sell a DG250M. Really appreciate your help, thanks everyone.

Had a look through the french forum and this guy called 'le clone' was selling one in about June last year for 500 euros, know it'sa while ago but he didn't seem to have that much interest so maybe still has it. Says it has a new ebony bridge and has been set up.

Put it through google translate, or use google chrome and it will translate it for you - the machine translation is pretty clear for this, although it translates bridge as 'easel' sometimes. Any problems, or if you want any translation help for this give me a pm.

I know it's more than a used one but Thomann do one

http://www.thomann.de/gb/gitane_dg250m.htm

a least buying from Thomann saves you from VAT being slapped on the instrument and freight charges as you would be if you imported from outside Europe

Yes, and they only appear to have one left in stock. I would prefer a second hand model, but if Thomann sell they might take the Hobgoblin position and not restock that particular model..decisions, decisions..I only wanted to save some cash :D

If you really want that model and nothing else will do I'd say go with Thomann, you don't often see those guitars second hand these days. In a years time you'll have forgotten about the money, but you'll still have the guitar!

There's quite a few on the american ebay e.g this one which is for $650

http://cgi.ebay.com/Gitane-DG-250M-Bird ... 4625wt_932

If you can sort out the shipping you might get a bargain there with the exchange rate, works out about £400 for the buy it now price. I got my DG255 for about the same from Thomann about 5 years ago, but they've gone up a lot in price since then new.

I have a gitane dg250m for sale. I am a bit sad to sell it as it is a great guitar, but I have to raise cash so what can I do? Anyway, it's here if you want it.
