Hello
Anyone heard or heard about the Furch Gitane series especially the Furch GiD-51 CM. It looks nice at least and its made of wood.

Hi, I spoke to the UK distributors, Sutherland Trading, and they have some of this range in stock.

They are branded as Stonebridge in the UK, the GiE 51-CM is around £1600, the GiE 52-SR is around £2200 so not particularly cheap! In France they seem to be 2000 - 2300 euros.

Not played one so no idea what they are like but I did sent Furch an email, they confirmed that they do not have a pliage on the top.

Anyway at £1600 you could just about get a Maruejouls entry model, I know which way I'd go!

A very interesting web-site, and guitars. I suspect we'll hear more about these guitars as their distribution grows. Their general information regarding the care of guitars is exceptionally well done and informative. They certainly look like serious contenders.
