Tailpiece Nightmare

Postby Zoot » Mon Aug 06, 2007 9:16 pm

You take your guitar to your brothers post wedding campfire party and as it's dark you cannot suss out why your guitar does not stay in tune and you put it down to the days travelling, heat, cold and heat from fire.

The following day at a midday gig you discover your tailpiece is hanging on by a tread.

There was much sweating and praying it would survive the gig.
It did but it was close.

That probably happened due to the wrong chords being played the previous evening, also not learning enough new songs can affect your tailpiece the same way. Hope this explains things.

I was two weeks to on Camping, with Hot days & cold nights,
but only the strings gets a little bit out of tune.
Maybe it was a hardware issue on your Tailpiece.

Whilst he may be a curio, your profile says you are interested in Old Timers and Zoot is too young for you.

I also have an old bus: VW 1969 T2.

Perhaps we could mate them and have lots of beetles.
