manouche guitars

Postby Dr. Rico » Thu Jun 14, 2007 2:23 am

Hello Everybody,

Has anybody had any experience with Manouche guitars?
Been looking at the new 14 fret D-hole. Anyone play one?
Any input would be appreciated.

Cool vid. Thanks for posting.

For a while, I considered getting their nylon-string D-hole. Such a beauty! I'm still thinking about it, but I'd have to do some crafty budgeting. Anyone have any experience with nylon-string selmacs?

I don't know about the 14 fret oval, but I have the Moreno Modele Jazz and my band mate has the D hole. These guitars are superb. The hardware is really good quality the build quality second to none and they sound fantastic - really give off the manouche bark. It blows away the Gitane DG250M which I have and for not too much more cash. I presume the 14 fret will cut the mustard. I should also point out that the service from Tony was impeccable - he will really look after you. I'd say go for it.

Just noticed you're in the States, so you won't deal with Tony, however i'm sure their State side service will be as good.
