What shall I wear?

Postby Massif Central » Sat Sep 10, 2005 12:08 am

The tunes are learned, the arrangements arranged, and now our band is ready for some gigs. Question is... what shall I wear?

We're going for a late-50s, early-60s european vibe, strictly more Fellini and Rene Thomas than QHCF, though gypsy jazz is our key inspiration. Problem is, since getting married and having a kid, I'm a bit more paunchy than your average existentialist. So who's looking cool? All advice and inspiration warmly received.

Pants, really nice funky sports coat, shirt unbuttoned daringly, no tie, cool retro inspired glasses.

Make sure the pants are canary yellow. Personally I want to be brought on to the stage whizzing down an ariel runway dressed in a giant bumblebee suit whilst my band are kicking in to mystery pacific. One day.

Anything that doesn't make your A*se look big.............if unsure ask a female for their honest opinion, if they say you look fine observe the facial twitches for the true version.

Other than that canary yellow is my prefered choice.
