Boring Posts

Postby Teddy Dupont » Wed Jan 12, 2005 2:07 pm

Having returned from a few days away pony trekking in the Hymalayas, I found a host of new posts awaiting me. Unfortunately, I fell asleep attempting to read them which raises the question are the contributions becoming increasingly boring? For me the answer is an unqualified yes. So much repetition. So much trivia. No sparkle. No excitement. No FT.

Where have all the spirited debates gone? Everyone is a sycophant.

Unfortunately we are not floating on the plane that your good self occupies.
Especially you have now taken to levitating on a silken cushion while your good lady wife hoovers underneath.

The turban you now sport does add an air of mysticism that becomes you though.

The thrilling recent topics on the forum have been stimulating as well as informative.
Various discourses on pick type have kept us all on the edge of our seats as has a wonderful round of "does Django rock".

If you find the intellectual level too low then surely your great eye should fall on the Yahoo.
That land is also host to another forum on the Michael Horowitz site so we can all discuss pick sizes to our hearts content there as well.
Isn?t life just great?
A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history, with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.

Since the initial flush of frenzied voting seems to have subsided, it is perhaps an appropriate time for an impartial summary of the results.

Not surprisingly the "more boring" and "Cabo being a big girl's blouse" have come out top. Of the two, I must concede the Cabo vote is clearly the most unarguable fact but should probably be discounted as being slightly irrelevant.

Those who voted for the posts being less boring were by their own admission idiots and must therefore also be discounted. Those who feel they are about the same are clearly wishy washy, sit-on-the-fence types who should be ignored. The churlish individuals stating that the post itself was boring were obviously lying since they took the trouble to vote.

In conclusion, a 100% vote for the posts being more boring. The solution is in your own hands.

I voted for me. All the others seemed far too cerebral. I am fond of Cheerios with dried strawberries.

What an insult!! your rapier wit has floored me yet again.
Obviously, I cannot compete with such a well-concieved put-down, so I am sending Zoot to see you and work a potato up your arse for causing me such mental stress. I've had to turn down work because of it....you cad.

If Flamenco-teacher.com is anything to go by, there is but a wafer thin line between spirited debates and ridiculous catfights. So it's not all that bad.
