Gypsy-jazz vices

You guys beer drinkers? What's the poison of choice at Samois? At Le Q? Strasbourg? Whidbey Island? Is this a micro-brew crowd, or a bunch of hard-assed gin-soaked boys? If hedge-hog is a delicacy for Romanies, do they have a favorite drink to go with that? Do they smoke Gitanes? etc.

Curious, that's all.

As for the other vices, well, we know what those are.

I used to feel that a two-fingered approach would do the trick. I have found, however, that using all four fingers helps me achieve the results I want much quicker.

I am, of course, referring to the amount of whisky in my glass.

I will leave it to a bolder soul to discuss, ahem, "proper right hand technique" as it applies to the topic of vices.

Vices

While I may prefer a good IPA or perhaps a nice single malt scotch, I find that too many tuning fluids muddy up my ability to do anything coherent... Lord knows I have enough trouble with that already.

I find that a fresh pack of American Spirits and a box with no less then 12 bottles of a fine brew or a pristine "5th" of vintage whisky works well in most jam sessions. As for what others need I don't ask as they tend to change their mind mid stream.
If you swing it... Bring it.

I'm a sucker for Copenhagen. The strong nicotine blast it delivers to my cerebral cortex enhances my focus and concentration abilities.

gotta quit, one of these days.

Strangely enough, I'm partial to both Newcastle and Bud. Coincedence?..........hmmm,...probably.

And you sound better too, even if you really don't.

A distillery of vodka and (fiscal policy alowing) brandy! Skoal and American spirits. I usually sound better if someone takes the strings off of my guitar( or whatever I'm playing).
