:D does anyone have a transcription of this traditional tune which appeared on Romane's Acoustic Quartet, or does anyone know of a web site I could find it on?
Thank you in advance.
Pete.

I don't have the Romane album but I believe that the song Danube is the same as "Flots de Danube" also known as "Anniversary Song" - I believe www.gadjodrom.com has a chord grille for this, and I think someone has posted a transcription of Django's Anniversary Song solo in the transcriptions section of that site. The best version of this song is, IMO, that of Tchan Tchou on his "Guitare Partie" album :D

I do, although I also really like the Romane version as well. It's probably my second favorite of all the versions that I have.

Maybe I'll have to check the album out after all because I love that song - I really like the version on that collection of Samois jams from 2001 - I think it is Jan Limberger on lead guitar?

Yeah, I think it's Jan. Once I listened closely, though, it seems like the version descends into a train wreck as someone forgot the form and so everyone kind of gets lost.

Yeah - it's the first couple of choruses that I like :)
