Jazz Hot J'attendrai opening

Postby justjack » Tue Dec 14, 2004 1:58 am

Hi, all. Does anyone know of a transcription of Django's backing for this? It's the famous scene where the rest of the band's playing cards, right before the voiceover that sounds like an old superhero serial ("From the magic strings of the instruments of these five musicians was formed the Quintette of the Hot Club of France..."presumably, they went on to vanquish the tea parties of evil the world over).

Thanks,
Jack.

Jack, isn't that transcribed in the Unaccompanied Django book? No need to post a reply here and clutter up the forum with yet more posts - send me a good old PM instead

Those I've got, the one I'm looking for is just Django & Stephane playing. I don't think it was something usually played, but was just featured in the Jazz Hot film...thanks, though!

Best,
Jack.

As Nick said, Django's accompaniment to Stephane during the intro is on "Unaccompanied Django".
