Swing 42 (?) chord

Postby RICK-D15 » Wed Oct 13, 2004 3:30 am

Can anyone help me figure out the E? chord in Swing 42 that comes:

C / Am7 / Dm7 / G7 / C / Am7 / Dm7 / G7 / *** E? *** /

Right now I'm doing something like this, that sounds kind of right:

X 1 2 3 3 X

But I think it's really wrong.

Any ideas?

Try Gmin6/Emin7b5 or Bbdim7 (x7868x) :)

The turn around section your having trouble with can be either E-7b5 A7 D- G7 Cmajor7 D- G7 Cmajor7 or Cmajor7 C7 Fmajor Cdim CMajor7 G7 Cmajor7

There was a lot of talk about this on yahoo group a while back and it was determined that on the original recording Vees plays that Bbdim7 shape I mentioned above before going to standard 5x565x A7 shape, then Dmin then G7

I tried the chord and it sounds great. I found it easier to play it as:

x x 2 3 2 3
