Any one?

Postby Djosh » Fri Jun 18, 2004 4:48 pm

There is a Django version of a song that has words and I for the life of me can't understand all of them. To help out even more I don't know the name of the song... The end line of the words goes something like "and the women with a wacky woo" There is another line I can make out that talks about "milk shakes ten cents a piece". Any one know what this song is called and where I might find the lyrics/chord changes?

Thanks.

Hi Djosh,

The song in question is "Nagasaki". Freddy Taylor took some liberties with the lyrics, but you should be able to find them using Google.

Here's a chart from gadjodrom.com:

There was a discussion on this board a while back about how to play it. Can anyone help me find it?

Thanks! I found the words after you gave the name. Here they are in case any of you chaps wanna sing along

Hot gingerbread and dynamite,
Boy, I drink nothing but that each night,
Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

Aw, man, how they entertain,
I mean, they hurry a hurricane.
Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

Fujiama, got a mama,
Then your troubles increase, boy!
It's a bottle in a, bottle in a, bottle in a, bottle in a, bottle in a
Nagasaki!

They hug and kiss each night,
By jingo, boys, worth that price!
Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

This is a bit different then the version I have but close...
